International Symposium on Biological Shape Analysis (ISBSA)
The First International Symposium on Biological Shape Analysis (ISBSA) was held in Tsukuba, Japan in June, 3-6, 2009; the 2nd ISBSA was held in Okinawa, Japan in September, 7-9, 2011; the 3rd ISBSA was held in June, 14-17, 2013 at the University of Tokyo; the 4th ISBSA was held in Los Angeles at the UCLA School of Dentistry in June, 19-22, 2015; and the 5th was held again at the University of Tokyo in June, 23-26, 2017. All five meetings were quite successful and demonstrated that the study of biological shape analysis is wide-ranging in terms of both subject matter and discipline. We again expect to see a continuation in the increase in the number of participants at the 6th ISBSA.
Proceedings of the 1st, 2nd, 3rd, and 4th symposiums have now been published by World Scientific Publishing of Singapore and the proceedings of the 5th symposium are forthcoming and also to be published by World Scientific.
We are pleased to invite you to participate in the 6th ISBSA to be held at the Nausicaa center, Boulevard Sainte-Beuve, Boulogne sur mer, June, 25-28, 2019. Because you have been actively involved in research broadly dealing with the quantitative analysis of the biological form, we feel that this symposium would be of value to you and/or your colleagues and we hope that you will attend, consider being an active participant, and sharing your current research with us.
Please look at the attached announcement. If you find the topics listed of interest to you and you are willing to present a paper, please send the required information at the bottom of the flyer (or the whole flier) to Dr. Pete Lestrel, either by regular mail or by email. We will then send you detailed information about the symposium in a registration packet. The abstract deadline has been set for April 1, 2019.
We would especially appreciate it if you would share the announcement with your colleagues who may also have a research interest in biological shape analysis and might be interested in attending. Please forgive us if you receive multiple copies of the announcement, as this is simply a consequence of using multiple mailing lists.
If you have any further questions please feel free to contact any of the organizers.
