IUAES News (Call for papers ...)

1.     The 18th IUAES World Congress in Florianópolis, Brazil, 16-20 July 2018

The Call for papers for the 18th IUAES World Congress is open. You can submit your paper abstract to one of 202 open panels. (The Congress participants will be able to send the same abstract to two open panels in case the participant is not approved in their first option. Closed panels are not open to general participants.) The abstracts can be submitted through your participant’s area, and the deadline for submission is 28 February 2018.

Post events in Rio de Janeiro (Imigração e cultura material: questões sobre a circulação de pessoas e objetos) as well as in Bahia (What About Women in the History of Anthropology?) have been confirmed.

  1. 2.     Call for nominations of members for the Nominations Committee

Heather O’Leary, the Head of the Council of Commissions, sent a MinuteMail to all chairs of IUAES Commissions inviting them to help shape the next Executive Committee. Nomination of the members for the Nominations Committee should be sent to O’Leary by 26 January 2018. Please contact the Commission Chairs for more details.
