NYU Department of Anthropology invites applications for a tenure-track position as an assistant professor in Biological Anthropology, with a focus on the omics, broadly-defined, and an anticipated start date of Sept 2025. The full job ad, which includes the application link, is attached.
The successful applicant will benefit from new wet-lab facilities under a new Integrated Science Initiative, set to be fully operational for Spring 2026. This includes shared access to multiple dedicated separate DNA and RNA extraction rooms, and dedicated space for biological anthropology, including new office spaces for students and postdocs, general lab space, and dedicated separate wet-lab rooms for cell culture work, microbiome work, enzyme-immune assays, and more.
